With every passing minute, humans are discovering brilliant innovations, specifically in the tech domain. One of the stunning tech innovations brought on the table is Augmented Reality. Today we’ll go into the details of this specific technology. Augmented reality wireless headset

What is Augmented Reality?

In simple terminology, Augmented Reality is all about superimposing information the user wants into the real world. Overlaying virtual objects onto the real world will make things easier to visualize and understand. Augmented Reality has further five types, including Projection-based AR, Recognition based AR, Location-based AR, Outlining AR, and Superimposition based AR. The ultimate objective is to bring ease in our day to day lives.

History of Augmented Reality

Ivan Sutherland and Bob Sproull made the initial effort in this domain in 1968 at Harvard University. They both collectively created the very first head-mounted display. This effort sparked the interest of tech lovers of those times, and many universities and tech companies started further discovering the Augmented Reality. Later in 2008, some german agencies used AR technology for marketing purposes. This was the very first time when Augmented Reality was used for the marketing of the biggest automotive brand, BMW. The technology was used so that when a 2d image was held up in front of a webcam, a non-static 3d visual of Mini Cabrio was seen. 3d model of Mini Cabrio using Augmented Reality Later in 2011, National Geographic adopted the same concept and displayed 3d models of extinct animals roaming around zoos. In the same year, Disney also used augmented Reality near Times Square, where the public interacted with 3d models of their all-time favorite cartoons.

Future of Augmented Reality

Augmented reality will continue to grow in gaming industry Perkins Coie, an international law firm, has published a survey that acknowledges us about some shocking statistics. It revealed that 70 percent of respondents think that Augmented Reality will leave Virtual Reality behind in the game of revenue generation. Along with that, Statista Research Department published some statistical reports on Jun 11, 2020. The statistics highlighted that 54 percent of respondents believe that Augmented Reality will be one of the chosen technologies that will receive the highest investments for the development gaming industry. Augmented reality is only going to improve and evolve in the coming years. Tech Investors are quite optimistic about its unstoppable growth in the future.
